Today, the South African Friends of Israel has grown from a handful of supporters to a broad-based grass roots movement that transcends religious, cultural, political and racial barriers.

SAFI has expanded over the past five years and we have successfully educated over 5000 “friends“ who are now supporting and advocating for Israel alongside the SAZF and affiliates.

We have reached out to the Christian community and received tremendous support from the Hindu Maha Sabha, Italian, Greek, and Portuguese communities. In an effort to build bridges and fortify unity we will be working on various projects that uplift our surrounding communities at the same time as educating the broader community about Israel and the local Jewish population.




DEISI (Defend Embrace Invest & Support Israel) was created by Reverend Kenneth Meshoe and his daughter Olga Meshoe. The initiative was created to be a broad based movement focused on young adults on campuses and in mostly African communities, to get involved in active support for Israel. SAFI is closely involved and works together with the leadership of DEISI.ical safety and civil rights that we are entitled to by supporting the CSO, the SAJBD and SAUJS.




Founded in 1976, Bridges for Peace seeks to be a ministry of hope and reconciliation. Through programs both in Israel and worldwide, they are giving Christians the opportunity to actively express their biblical responsibility before God to be faithful to Israel and the Jewish community. The Bridges for Peace organization was built for Christians to support Israel and build relationships between Christians and Jews in Israel and around the world. It is their desire to see Christians and Jews working side by side for better understanding and a more secure Israel.




The impact for Christ Ministries is a community who has a foundation of truth, liberty and freedom. They extend the influence of the church beyond its boundaries and abroad.

Whenever there is a need for support of the Church – whether at rallies or at events – the Church can be depended on. IMPACT FOR CHRIST MINISTRIES takes the leadership trips to Israel to influence the many views and perception of Israel




The Africa-Israel Initiative is created on a vision birthed in South Africa. The founders believe it is crucial for the churches to raise the importance of the state of Israel and the Jewish people to the community in both public and private sectors. The Church, business and governments are invited to partner with SAFI in this endeavor of achieving progress, prosperity, freedom and peace.




Vuka Africa means “Arise Africa”. The Vuka Africa Foundation declares and heralds a message of hope, healing and restoration. It calls Africa to arise, lead her own restoration and to rebuild her families, communities, cities, provinces and nations. Vuka Africa Foundation is a strong Israel supporter and through their initaitives they try and consolidate friendships throughout South Africa.




ABI is an ongoing initiative that has an insatiable passion for Israel and has persevered to ensure this initiative has developed. Africa Bless Israel has a mandate to change Africa’s heart towards Israel. ABI vision it to add momentum to the growing movement of Christians whose eyes are being opened to the importance of Israel among the nations of the world. Africa Bless Israel gathers in a unified stand of solidarity with the nation of Israel.




The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem was established in 1980 in recognition of the biblical significance of all of Jerusalem and its unique connection with the Jewish people. Today, it represents millions of Christians, churches, and denominations to the nation and people of Israel. They stand with Israel in support and friendship, as well as equip and teach the worldwide Church regarding God's purposes with Israel and the nations of the Middle East. For over 30 years the ICEJ has stood by Israel, showing their support in a variety of ways, both in the land and around the world. They administer several aid projects that engage in advocacy for Israel.




The ICCC was founded 30 years ago based on a dream to see a worldwide growing people who know God and whose business and working lives are increasingly an outward manifestation of an inward walk of faith, motivated by God’s love. Since it’s inception in 1985 the ICCC has spread love and support for Israel around the world.




The Institute for Christian Leadership Development (ICLD) is a Christian Faith based non-profit organization that seeks to apply Biblical and Godly principles in the development of society. It is established to impact all walks of life, and amongst its activities, it has adopted a holistic approach in dealing with problem of the drought of good Leadership and Governance in the nations of Africa.




Cape to Cairo Israel Mission

In the year 2009 Pastor Reuben Chapasuka, had a vision to become a proponent of change within the African continent and an effective advocate for Israel.

Not knowing many Jewish people or Israelis he began his mission by meeting with close to 100 local pastors in which he told them of his aims and that they needed to assist in creating a lasting relationship with Israel and G-ds chosen people within their communities.

In 2013 The Cape to Cairo Israel mission was born and continues its work today as a group dedicated to developing bible-based education and to function as a platform and an ambassador for support of Israel across the African continent and the world.

The Cape to Cairo Israel mission has ambassadors and advocates in over 10 different countries across Africa and even has delegates in Israel and India.
