Challenge 2025 terms and Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The promoter is South African Friends of Israel (SAFI). (“the Promoter”).
2. The promotional competition is open to all South African residents who are in possession of a valid South African identity document, passport, or proof of South African residency. Directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of SAFI, its marketing service providers, or any entity directly or indirectly controlling or controlled by them, including their spouses, life partners, business partners, or immediate family members, may not enter or participate and will be automatically disqualified.
3. All participants must be 18 (eighteen) years or older.
4. This promotional competition runs from July 14, 2025, and ends at 11:59 pm on September 15, 2025. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
5. To participate, participants can:
   – Donate a minimum of R50 to SAFI during the competition period to stand a chance to win a trip to Israel worth R62,000 (inclusive of flights and accommodation). Details on how to donate will be provided on the SAFI website.
6. How to enter:
   – For the trip: Make a donation of any amount to SAFI as specified on the official platform.
7. Winner selection and prize:
   – A total of one (1) winner will be selected via a single random draw conducted by the Promoter.
   – The winner will be chosen by a fair and transparent random selection process.
   – Once selected, the winner’s details will be shared with the Promoter for prize fulfillment.
   – The winner will be contacted at the Promoter’s discretion, either by email or telephonically, and may be required to verify their personal details.
   – The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
   – If the winner cannot be contacted within five (5) consecutive working days after the first attempt, the prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and select an alternate winner if necessary.
   
   
8. Additional winner and prize management rules:
   – The Promoter (or their agent) will endeavor to contact the winner once every day for 5 (five) consecutive working days after their name is drawn.

   – If a winner cannot be contacted during this period, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner may be selected in accordance with the rules.
   – If the replacement winner also cannot be contacted within the same time frame, the prize will be forfeited, and the process may continue until a valid winner is reached or until the prize is withdrawn.
   – If a winner has provided incorrect contact details, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner under these rules.

9. Publication and publicity:
   – The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name and image of the winner for promotional public relations purposes.
   – By entering the competition, the winner consent to their name and image being used in promotional campaigns without additional remuneration.

10. Claiming and forfeiture:
    -Failure to claim the prize or a refusal or inability to meet the conditions outlined will result in disqualification, and a new winner may be drawn at the Promoter’s discretion.
11. Data privacy:
    – By participating, you agree that the Promoter may collect, store, and use your personal information for marketing, communication, and statistical purposes.
    – You may opt out of marketing communications by contacting [insert contact details].
    – Personal data may be shared with partners involved in the promotion as necessary.
    – Participants have the right to request access to, or correction of, their personal information in accordance with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act.
12. General provisions:
    – The Promoter is not responsible for lost, damaged, delayed, or incomplete entries.
    – The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries suspected of fraud or manipulation.
    – The competition complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and relevant regulations.
    – The Promoter may amend or terminate the promotion early, without liability.
    – The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. Legal and miscellaneous:
    – Participation signifies acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
    – The winner agrees to participate in promotional activities if requested, without additional remuneration.
    – The Promoter reserves the right to modify the rules or reject entries that do not comply with the criteria.
