Lets Unite and Bring Blessings Back to South Africa

National Prayer – Lets Unite and Bring Blessings Back to South Africa

‘’And you shall not persecute a foreigner, and you shall not oppress him, because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt’’ - Exodus 22:20

As a nation in distress, we are calling upon South Africans to take a moment and pray to the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as we look towards our shared values and principles in the Bible that speak of our responsibilities towards our neighbours.

‘’Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the foreigner, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another’’- Exodus 12:49

From this Biblical perspective it is the responsibility of all religious, political and civic organisations to ensure that everyone is welcome and safe in our country, especially foreigners and women.

South Africa is a melting pot of different backgrounds, races, religions and nationalities. Let us all unite around the core biblical principles and help bring blessings to our country. Please support the following initiatives of South African Friends of Israel and help us make a difference by:

  • Signing this statement by emailing hello@safisa.co.za and helping us circulate the statement to your family and friends.

‘’The foreigner who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the foreigner as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt: I am the L-rd your G-d.’’
